... there was a little girl name Caleigh, y’all.

Ever since I was real little, my parents would take my sister and I to Walt Disney World. Born in the 80s, we got to experience so many amazing family memories as kids there; SO much so that, as adults, my sister and I are still obsessed with being there.

Because it’s so much more than a place, you know?? Its like; a feeling. Disney World is a feeling. It’s all surrounding, all consuming, excited and yet home safe feeling. And its to that end that I have an Annual Pass and my sister now works there.

It’s OUR place — and it all started with a mouse.

1996 vs 2017 - growing up in front of that beauty

I wanted to start off my blog with my foundation that led me into creativity, starting my own business, and cosplay — Disney. Y’all I can’t lie it all started there. LOL Since we were super duper little, we’ve been obsessed, and it never stopped frankly. It just … morphed? From sweaty 5 days treks to do every single freakin thing on property to Cici living there and we rollin’ up past noon in full vintage glam taking photos and sipping cocktails LOL. But no matter what style - that place is home. Not like, HOME home, but it feels like… a mecca? A church? A happy ending y’all.

So its certainly the most magical place on earth but DAMN do we have some crazy and dumb stories from there LOL so I wanted to share a few with y’all!

Princess Jasmines was ABSOLUTELY my favorite princess growing up. I was honestly obsessed and took so many photos with her and got her autograph so many times — there’s a whole scrapbook at my parents house LOL. So for me to finally cosplay here this year, after so long, was such an IMMENSE goal and dream for me.

Enjoy my 2001 Brace Face but at least Jasmine is always beautiful LOL

Even as children, Cici and I loved Epcot — especially World Showcase. Its amazing how that hasn’t changed a bit! Except now… we drink a lot there hahahaha. But as kids, we would go around the world, and make our parents take photos of us in EVERY. SINGLE. PAVILION. Every year. Like it looked different. (It did not)

We also had a tradition of buying a marionette animal puppet from the China pavilion, and promptly destroying it very soon after haha. I have no idea why our parents let us keep buying those things. But check out this photo from the ‘90s very prominently featuring our flamingo marionettes. Outrageous.

Okay, I’ve got to talk about this — the characters. Growing up, I was SOOOO into characters! Goofy, Cinderella, you name it — i freaking loved it. My parents would say if I spotted a character in the distance POOF I was gone. Ciara… was the opposite. She would RUN THE OTHER WAY. Cue my parents having to split up every time some character popped out of a backstage door. Even as a teenager, I distinctly remember her refusing to hug Minnie LOL. All this is especially entertaining now that my sister is the one who WORKS with characters at WDW. HILARIOUS.

Check out this cute photo where for some reason Cici didn’t absolutely hate Tweedle Dum:

Watermelon shirt strikes again!

Okay another favorite memory — when I was in college we took a girls only trip down to WDW and drove through the night to get there, and then rising super early to be at Hollywood Studios park opening at 8 AM. (GOD I am so glad we don’t do that any more, kill me haha) SOOOO naturally we were super delirious. We met Buzz and Woody that morning! We walked up to take our photo and our mom knocked on Buzz very loudly and declared “PLASTIC!” We were all so punch drunk and couldn’t stop giggling and shouted PLASTIC for years. The end. A silly pointless moment in time but you know what? That’s a memory for us, and it will be forever, because of this place.

But why did I throw away that vest?!?!

I've got a lot more awesome photo memories for y'all... cuz if you didn't take photos at WDW did you even go!?! :P
